About Me

Over the span of 25 years, I worked with men, women, and children living in the Christian discipleship homes of  Providence Network and Open Door Ministries in Denver's Capitol Hill, Curtis Park, and Five Points neighborhoods. These precious people were battling addictions, mental health issues, trauma, and homelessness. It was a privilege to be a part of their stories of overcoming, as well as to train and supervise their counselors. Concurrently, I began a private practice in Arvada 14 years ago to be able to work from home and serve the western metro area. I've been married for 26 years and have two adult children. I understand first-hand the pain of infertility and the unmatched joy of adoption. I also know all too well the mystery of chronic illness, as I battle the autoimmune disease lupus. I'm grateful to have discovered a handful of helpful treatments. I earned my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Gerontology at Colorado State University, my master's degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary, and my Addiction and Clinical Supervision certifications from the Colorado School for Family Therapy. I hold both Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) Colorado licenses, as well as the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential.

Above all else, I am a follower of Jesus and do my best to love God and love others, no matter what.
